Van Isle Beauty Co. is a Canadian wellness boutique and national cosmetic wholesaler. I had the opportunity to work with this company when it needed a rapid market penetration strategy after expanding its services and product line.
Considering the urgency for results, we focused on increasing customer lifetime value rather than customer acquisition. To incentivize existing customers to try the new services, I proposed The Van Isle Beauty Club. A loyalty program that awarded customers a set discount across all services, which increased proportionally with their visit frequency.
We implemented the program utilizing mobile wallet technology, which allowed Van Isle Beauty to push real-time updates to the digital membership cards. With this feature, the company could share exclusive and limited-time promo codes for their online store.
Within the first month after launch, several customers tried Van Isle Beauty’s new offerings. The program exceeded projections when sales across all services boosted by customers’ motivation to achieve higher discounts. The use of promo codes has also led to an increase in online revenue. What’s more, customers appreciated the sense of community the club fostered, resulting in higher customer retention as well.
