On September 2022, Aaron Pritchett, a renowned country singer and event co-founder Sarah Bramley hosted the first Big Wheel Charity Golf Classic. The golf tournament featured live performances, celebrity appearances, and exciting contests, all aimed at supporting KidSport Nanaimo and the Nanaimo Community Hospice Society. Two weeks before the event, Fobi joined as the Platinum Sponsor and ticketing provider.
As the project director, my primary responsibilities were to lead the product implementation and ensure a successful partnership. Despite the challenging deadlines, Fobi’s software teams swiftly developed a tailored ticketing solution featuring dynamic backgrounds to highlight various event activities.
Meanwhile, the marketing team devised a strategy to promote digital adoption. Fobi collaborated with local businesses to host a gift card giveaway for attendees who downloaded their tickets. With an impressive 93% download rate, tickets became a communication channel to announce celebrities, showcase sponsors, and generate excitement.
The event finally arrived, and almost every guest had the opportunity to experience Fobi’s technology firsthand, generating several leads. Additionally, we were thrilled to secure an extension to our partnership and contribute to the Big Wheel Charity Golf Classic’s remarkable achievement of raising over $73,000 for KidSport Nanaimo and the Nanaimo Hospice Society.
